“Yes.”

Lexi watched the shadow of doubt play across Twitch’s handsome features.

“I’m not a pretty sight, Lexi. What you see on my face and neck are worse on the rest of me.” His fingers trailed down her cheekbones. Dipping lower, he ran one over her lips.

“I don’t care. Please, Twitch, let me see.” Lexi darted out her tongue, kissing and tasting his skin. She wanted all of him. It did not matter to her if his body was marred with marks.

Searching her expression, he gave a sigh of resignation. Rolling to the side of the bed, he stood, turning to face her. Hair tumbling to conceal his features, all she could see were the glint of his green eyes through the unruly strands.

Hands shaking, Twitch reached for the buttons of his shirt. One by one, he popped them out. Glimpses of a muscled chest teased Lexi’s vision as the sides gaped open. She could see the burns he spoke of. Easing the garment from his shoulders, he exposed his torso for her inspection.

Shoulders hunched, he stood before her bare and vulnerable. His body was a road map of pain. A story of an unpleasant past. Jagged, angry marks ran the length of his chest and arms. Some were silver, but others were pink, still healing with time. Lexi’s gaze took in the rest of him. He was muscular. Not in a bulky way like most males she had seen, but he had lean muscles of an athlete that tapered down to a narrow waist.

“Everything,” she told him boldly, her attention settling on his trousers.

With a pained look, Twitch’s hands reached for his belt. Unbuckling it, he slid down the zipper. In silence, he pushed his trousers and boxers down in one go. Stepping free, he stood motionless for her examination.

More scars were scattered across his hips and legs. Not one inch of him had been left untouched. A nest of dark red curls framed his manhood. Already erect, it was a pleasing size.

Gods, he was glorious. Lexi had never seen anything so handsomely flawed before. Just the sight of him bare like this deepened her need to have him. He was beautifully imperfect. Imagining having him inside her made her ache in response. She would savour every second.
